1 - 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and control the computer in accordance with established standards. Assist in system operations by setting up, operating and maintaining computer peripherals. Operate and monitor systems performance via console and online terminals. May assist in restart jobs, consulting technical staff when the cause of the problem is not apparent. Assist in maintaining records to supplement logs, including problem documentation, actions taken, file identification and similar data. Assure that all reports are printed and delivered in an accurate and timely manner. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the operating commands for systems.

COMPETENCIES:
Ability to operate, setup, and maintains computer peripherals. Ability to identify and solve system problems with minimal assistance from technical staff. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain reports and other documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least two, typically four or more years of computer operations experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must be a team player, quick learner, and a self-starter with a desire for self-improvement

Comments:
Initial training will be on first shift then transitioning to Third.

  • Basic network technology infrastructure device knowledge, including but not limited to Switches and Routers.
  • Able to follow guidelines to perform basic troubleshooting on proactive alerts.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently and with teams.
  • Must be able to multitask and be able to prioritize work.
  • Be able to identify a problem and create a proactive ticket if needed.
  • Correlate site problems with planned or scheduled maintenance and implementation changes.
  • Willing to work multiple shifts.
  • Must be able to dispatch a help desk ticket to the correct team.
  • Facilitate in ticket escalations if needed.
  • Familiar with monitoring tools and able to work with multiple screens.
  • Please note this is a third shift position. Manager would like candidates to have a background in networking. Please do not focus your search on Network Techs.
