NetBackup v.7.x on RedHat Linux
Our client is looking for a Netbackup consultant for a role based in Luxemburg - must have NetBackup v.7.x on RedHat Linux
Must have French and English language skills
Technical
- Symantec NetBackup v.7.x on RedHat Linux (Windows platforms would be a plus) including GUI and command lines
- Experience with support, troubleshooting, and problem investigation for tape backups and SAN environments
- Oracle hardware libraries and drives (SL8500+T10K) knowledge
- System knowledge (RedHat Linux - Windows and Solaris would be a plus)
Personnal
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work in a production environment
- Willingness to get expertise on new technologies
Activities
- Assist in the testing and deployment of scheduled NetBackup product updates and patches
- Handle NetBackup support issues
BAU activities:
- Check tape drives, robotics and solve issues if any
- Check NetBackup availability and react if any issue
- Install NetBackup clients if required (package)
- Install Oracle agent for NetBackup (package)
- Check backup of catalog and restart jobs if necessary
- Check, troubleshoot and restart failed backups
- Start backups on demand if requested during migration or implementation
