Job Description:
The Sr. Directory Services Engineer will facilitate the migration of enterprise scale Active Director and other directory environments. This position will work with multiple groups internal and external to establish operational readiness and stability of the environments for multiple Active Directory migrations.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience working in Senior Information Technology role(s) with Microsoft Active Directory, AD LDS, eDirectory and other Virtual Directory Products.
  • Proficient experience architecting and delivering directory solutions built on highly-scalable platforms and technologies, including Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
  • Develop Directory technology standards and directory synchronization processes.
  • Document design, processes, and templates.
  • Ability to translate high-level business requirements into meaningful and innovative technical solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies.
  • Proficient project execution skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.
  • Provide engineering support for the existing directory implementations.
  • The right candidate should be proficient with common aspects of directory design (namespace, schema, security, topology, etc.) and be practiced in Schema Extension, Migration and Merging Strategies.
  • The person will be expected to work on multiple directory integration efforts, also be involved in the development and deployment of interfaces between the directory and source and target systems, and directory-enabled applications.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture and technology infrastructure.
  • General understanding of network and database technologies.
  • People management and project management experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and multiple tasks/projects occurring at once.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment.

  • Strong technical project management and/or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and control activities.
  • Ability to identify resources needed to successfully meet requirements.
  • Experience in customer-focused environment.
  • Experience working in an offshore/onshore collaborative environment.
  • Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management.
