Working as a Financial Analyst for one of Australia's most successful organisations your role will be to provide financial capability and analytical support in the management of the telecommunication expenses. Telecommunication represents a significant portion of ITs operational expenses and this role is key to ensure the costs are managed within contracted framework and rates, efficiently reported to a level that assist management decisions and every opportunity to lower telecommunication costs are pursued on a timely basis.
Significant experience in analysis and accountability for budgeting and cost control of a large organisations telecommunication contracts/spend is mandatory for this role. You will not be considered for this role unless you have this experience.
This role will also input into business cases and will track and report on the benefits from various telecommunication initiatives
This role will also support analysis and commercials around other non -Telco infrastructure initiatives.
The role must be an ambassador of change. They must be able to cut through bureaucracy or develop structures and processes to more efficiently achieve agreed results. They implement improved processes to IT vendor management activities.
Skills required:
- Change management, ability to identify and implement improvements in processes and procedures to meet changing need and trend
- Ability to provide input to business units procedures and processes so as to improve efficiencies and allocation of risk with third parties
- Ability to formulate management strategies in relation to vendor commercial issues
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong Commercial acumen and experience
- Ability to give solution based advice
- 3-5 years post CA/CPA qualifications
- Knowledge of Telecommunications industry as relating to the use of services strongly preferred
- Advanced excel skills
- Strong financial management skills
- Strong understanding of Financial Accounting principles
- Superior organisational skills, including delegation of duties
- Advanced project planning skills, combined with problem solving and detailed analysis
- Creative thinking to overcome process improvement hurdles
- Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders
- Accountability for budgeting and cost control of applicable Telecommunications contracts
- Improvements to billings review and Telco Management process
- Billing review and sign-off
- Close month end on time and accuracy of Telco expenses
