We are currently searching for a Oracle DBA to work in Amsterdam for 3 months plus extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

Profile:

- Communicative/co-operative/advisor: is comfortable communicating and working together with others (DBAs, developers, architects, etc). Able to operate in a support function to work with others to achieve common goals - "willing to help"
- Pro-active/self-sufficient: actively looks for ways to improve and takes own initiative to become supporting pillar for application teams
- Purposeful: not easily distracted and remains focused on the task at hand

Technical:

Must-have:

Senior Oracle developer (SQL & PL/SQL) in an enterprise environment (3-5 years pure experience)
Data modelling experience
Oracle 9/10 knowledge

Nice-to-have(s):

Database development within a Java/J2EE environment
Unix environment knowledge
Query performance tuning
Banking experience is a must
