We are seeking a SharePoint developer to work as part of a team responsible for the management, development and support of the Department's web environments.
You will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Analysis, design, documentation and development of applications utilising SharePoint 2010
- Migration of websites from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010
- Providing technical expertise and advice concerning web systems as required
- Designing and implementing SharePoint systems in accordance with industry best-practice and government requirements
- Translation of textual and visual business requirements into system descriptions and specifications
- Supporting and improving technical (development) processes and frameworks, including contributing to documentation of best-practices
- Maintaining and enhancing existing SharePoint application
- Providing technical guidance and support to other developers
You should be experienced with and have high level skills in all of the following:
- Configuration and administration of SharePoint 2010;
- Microsoft SharePoint 2010 development, particularly of public-facing websites based on the publishing site functionality;
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and later with development skills in C#;
- Waterfall and agile development methodologies.
