A major player in the insurance market is looking for a Claims

Reporting to the Delegated Lead Senior Property Adjuster. The role of a Claims Adjuster is to adjust and process lead claims on behalf of my client on London Market systems.

In some instances, Claims Adjusters are expected to handle direct reports and to represent customers at market meetings.

Key Accountabilities
Reading and analysing reports and claim submissions
Validating data and obtaining additional information to clarify documents and where necessary, correct inaccuracies
Identifying questionable and/or potentially non-compliant data and initiate prompt actions to correct/resolve independency
Agreeing reserves for indemnity, fees and costs
Reviewing fee invoices presented
Communicating with the Colleagues, Claims Adjusters, Broker, placing Brokers, (re)insured's and experts
Managing direct reporting cases within delegated authority and circulate information to the market
Processing claims within levels ensuring all deadlines are maintained
Follows up to ensure pending issues are resolved seeking the assistance of more experienced employees for non routine issues
Dealing with and resolving problems using a high degree of independent judgement
Demonstrating commitment to team objectives, including quality objectives
Keeps Lead Senior Property Adjuster informed of non-routine issues, making recommendations to resolve these matters where appropriate
Remain knowledgeable and current though self directed professional reading and market interface to understand the market climate
Dealing with customer queries professionally and expeditiously creating an environment where peers recognise positive service and respect for customers
Recognise opportunities for improvement and champion change management initiatives and motivate team members to embrace change
A good understanding of the London market and world wide practices and procedures
A detailed specialist knowledge of C.A.R/Engineering
Knowledge and understanding of the national and main international legal systems relevant to the class of business handled by the department
A high degree of independent judgement for decision making and problem solving
Ability to listen and ascertain the needs of customers (by being effective, efficient, tactful and courteous)
Good communication skill with the ability to relay non-routine information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communications
