Our client is seeking a SharePoint developer to work as a member of the Web Services team. This team is responsible for the management, development and support of the Department's web environments.

The Contractor will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Analysis, design, documentation and development of applications utilising SharePoint 2010
  • Migration of websites from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010
  • Providing technical expertise and advice concerning web systems as required
  • Designing and implementing SharePoint systems in accordance with industry best-practice and government requirements
  • Translation of textual and visual business requirements into system descriptions and specifications
  • Supporting and improving technical (development) processes and frameworks, including contributing to documentation of best-practices
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing SharePoint application
  • Providing technical guidance and support to other developers
  • Other duties as requested

Experience

The contractor personnel should be experienced with and have high level skills in all of the following:

  • Configuration and administration of SharePoint 2010;
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2010 development, particularly of public-facing websites based on the publishing site functionality;
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and later with development skills in C#;
  • Waterfall and agile development methodologies.

And should also:

  • Have the ability to work successfully in a team environment with only minimal guidance to deliver project outcomes.
  • Possess excellent client service skills including high-level communication skills both oral and written.
