These resources will be 100% focused on Support work which is likely to include some or all of the following: -
Management of Support Calls. Handling User Queries, executing manual extracts
etc.
System Monitoring and Performance Optimisation. Monitoring Data Loads,
Performance Optimisation of SAP BW, Job Scheduling and its Maintenance
Infrastructure Management which includes site Switches, patches and upgrades.
Requirements of role:
To assist the BI Support Lead with SAP BW support work and ensuring the integrity
of each of the three CLIENT's SAP BW Instances
To monitor all data loads, identify the causes of and correct and manage data load failure
To handle support calls in a prompt and timely manner
To have ability to ensure that any actions taken to correct/clear data load problems do not impinge the integrity of data
To handle support calls in a prompt and timely manor
To be thorough and conscientious with changes as a majority of work will be on the production environments
Share technical knowledge with colleagues.
Technical Skills Required:
Essential
3-5 years working in Business Intelligence projects using warehousing tools
2-3 years hands-on experience using SAP Business Warehouse.
1-2 years hands-on experience using SAP Business Warehouse from a support prospective.
Excellent English as the resource will need good communication skills working with customers and other team members
Formally trained in SAP Business Warehouse
Desirable
Previous experience working on one or more SAP BW upgrade projects would be desirable
Previous experience working in a large company or semi-state organisation or Energy/Power utility
