An excellent opportunity has arisen in a leading UK banking group based in Bristol. The wholesale Banking and Markets (WBM) Finance team requires an analyst/regulatory accountant/internal regulatory auditor to support the delivery of Integrated Risk Models as part of the Wholesale Risk Systems Programme for an initial period of 3 months. All candidates should have strong financial services experience (ideally within corporate or wholesale banking), a background in Audit and Internal Control and an up to date knowledge of Financial Regulation (ie Basel 2, BIPRU), Financial reporting (IFRS) and reporting system ( SAP)

The role is responsible for ensuring the appropriate testing and controls are implemented during the roll out of integrated risk models, to ensure the data integrity for the capital calculation is maintained.

The role will suit an individual with excellent analytical skills, who is able to develop effective relationships with a number of stakeholders and work to tight deadlines. Experience of working in a tight financial control environment and strong system skills are important for this role. The individual will need to be a proactive self starter.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
1. Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, ACMA).
2. Financial Control (Audit or SOX).
3. Knowledge and experience of User Acceptance Testing methodologies.
4. Experience of working within large projects.

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
1. Understanding of Basel 2 calculations (standardised, foundation & advanced).
2. BIPRU (FSA sourcebook), regulatory reporting requirements and IFRS.
3. End to end knowledge of SAP reporting and operational systems.
4. Understanding of Commercial, Corporate Banking, Wholesale Markets and Treasury & Trading balance sheet and products.
