Software Engineer - C/C++
Our award-winning client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated software engineer to work on all aspects of the software life cycle. You will be required to investigate Android on system architectures, and debug, analyse and optimise software performance. This is an initial six month contract to start as soon as possible.
Essential skills and experience:
- Excellent software development skills in C/C++.
- Experience in developing for Embedded Linux platforms.
- Experience with standard GNU/Linux tool chains, shells and build tools.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly distributed tools such as Git or Bazaar.
- Experience with assembly programming.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Any experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous: Android porting or development at an OS level; software profiling, instrumentation and optimisation; Java or JavaScript Virtual Machines or JIT compilers; GNU/Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian etc.; familiarity with System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures.
