Skills required for:

  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in resource management within the Business and IT change environment and understanding of key HR processes.
  • Proven experience of line/task management is essential
  • Ability to work in a delivery-driven and a fast-changing environment is crucial
  • Supporting Head of the work stream hence attention to detail is necessary
  • Our client, a large retail banking organisation is a leader in their field. They have continually redefined their commercial appeal to cement their position as the dominant force that they are. This programme is just kicking off with expectations of an additional resources needed to deliver on time. This role will support this process from an external and internal perspective.

Your tasks:

  • Resource planning for the work streams' resources by maintaining a holistic resource forecast detailing resource availability and utilisation.
  • Meeting with design leads and get their view of the resource allocation to support the forecast accuracy
  • Maintaining a comprehensive forward plan - a pipeline of all future projects and programmes; creating a summary view of the demand and supply for the work stream; locking future start dates of a pipeline project as a commitment and succinctly escalating issues with options for resolution
  • Once resources have been named, agree resource forecast with Project Managers ensuring there is no over allocation of the resources; the purpose is to establish a view of resource availability
  • To create a picture of the financial forecasts and actual against the budget, including budgeting and cost monitoring
  • Supporting activities to optimise the utilisation of the resource pool for projects and themes across the delivery portfolio
  • Taking a proactive approach in the expanding recruitment process through liaising with a senior management and supply areas to identify resource demand and gaps and to ensure smooth and effective recruitment process is maintained
  • Support the new starters joining the work steam by inducting them on their first day and ensuring their seamless integration in to the work stream
  • Working closely with the Junior PMO analyst, assigning tasks and mentoring him, completing appraisals etc
