Headquartered in Europe, the company has approximately 28,000 employees working in more than 25 countries and posted sales of USD 3.8 billion in 2011.The Industrial Technology and Engineering Center (ITEC) is an OEM department of the company which develops, manufactures, sells and services leading edge equipment for assembly and testing of (discrete) semiconductors. The ITEC products are Die bonders, Wire Bonders, Testers (electrical final test) and Tapers / Die sorters.
The ITEC organization consists of:
-Development teams in Nijmegen Netherlands, focusing development of equipment.
-Product teams Hong Kong with focus on product improvement, application development and customer support
-An Operations group in Hong Kong for logistical support, supply chain management, service coordination and supply of mature equipment and parts
To cope with the business needs, we are seeking experienced candidates for the following position in Nijmegen:
Software Design Engineer
Responsibilities
-Debug, and design and implement software solutions in our new and present equipment
-Conduct pre-studies (experiments, measurements) to verify ideas and adjust the software if necessary
-Work closely with the customer getting their requirements and study the feasibility
-Requires to work closely with other designers for refining the software.
-Estimate the time required and the cost involved
-Document the design and the test result for future modifications and maintenance
-Understand the various equipment configurations
Requirements
-Graduate in MSc/ BSc in Software Engineering, with focus on control software.
-Minimal 2 years of working experience in software design.
-Possesses most of the following technical skills:
-Understanding of OO programming techniques
-Programming in Ada, C, C++
-Experience with real time control systems
-Experience with device drivers
-Experience with windows WIN32 API
-Understand how to use HTML, CSS, javascript
-Document the software, write manuals
-Good interpersonal skills and a team-work player
-Self-motivated and be innovative
-Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Understanding six sigma, FMEA, 8D or Shainin methods would be great.
-Able to work independently and under pressure
-Excellent communication skills in English.
