Global Head of Manufacturing - SwitzerlandA major pharmaceutical organization has a fantastic opportunity for a Global Head of Manufacturing to join the team based in Switzerland. In this role you will direct manufacturing activities across all manufacturing sites to execute the manufacturing strategy and product supply plans set by Product Group Directors and Supply Chain.
The Role:
*Manages manufacturing operations across all sites to execute the manufacturing plan set by Supply Chain.
*Oversees management and resolution of deviations and manufacturing issues spanning across multiple sites.
*Collaborates with Product Group Directors to make resource allocation and prioritization decisions (e.g. cross-product capacity conflicts).
*Plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing activities across sites by establishing strategic and operational policies and goals, assigning responsibilities and managing team resources.
*Develop and execute an integrated strategy for leveraging and optimizing manufacturing operations. Incorporate economic forces, industry trends and regional business strategies to deliver a competitive advantage to the company.
*Drive a manufacturing operation that ensures superior customer satisfaction by focusing on quality, delivery and cost.
*Drive operational excellence, combining both strategic and tactical change.
*Assure more efficient, effective manufacturing operations whilst implementing best practices.
*Integrate and collaborate with Product Group Directors to execute against product strategy and supply plans.
*Represent manufacturing operations at relevant governance meetings.
Experience:
*Bachelor`s Degree in a technical field; Masters Degree in either a Technical or Business field is desirable.
*12+ years experience in the pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical industry essential
*Extensive experience working in a FDA regulated environment
*Strong Knowledge of business processes and the ability to work in teams and with other departments.
*Experience with successful interaction with internal and external customers, internal and external management, peers, New Business Development, National Accounts, Professional Services, Marketing Services, agent organizations, distributors and consumers to achieve departmental objectives and facilitate company wide strategic objectives.
