Description
Global Pharmaceutical organisation currently requires an experienced Construction Manager to deliver a project at their API facility in Scotland. Working on the cut and carve project we are looking for a construction manager with extensive experience working in Construction Management within the pharmaceutical / chemical industry.The Construction Manager for the project co-ordinates all construction and safety activities and your main responsibilities will be:
*Principal Contractor`s full time representative in the field, overall responsibility for all field activities including, Safety, Quality, Schedule and Scope.
*Develop and ensure that the site commitments and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
*Ensure the legal requirements are met for CDM, Health and Safety at Work, and the highest standards of safety are met by all site staff and contractors.
*Approve Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all contractors and site activities as necessary and ensure complete adherence to them.
*Control the issue of Permits to Work.
*Ensure accurate and timely preparation of site inspections and hand over documentation in accordance with the project procedures.
*Prepare and monitor construction programmes for site activities.
*Chair and record contractor progress meetings.
*Prepare and issue regular site reports.
Qualifications
*Extensive experience in Construction Management in the pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, or similar industries required
*BS in either Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is strongly preferred
*Track record of successful completion of projects of a similar size and nature
*Knowledge, appreciation and proven experience of working in strongly regulated GMP environment.
*Experience working in ATEX rated environments
*Interpersonal skills: Relates well to all levels and kinds of people; Able to build appropriate rapport; Listens well.
