Currently our direct client, who is one of Europe`s leading Energy providers and who develop, maintain and construct offshore wind parks, are looking for an experienced Manager Construction to join their team in Poland.

Base locations are either Wysoka or Stettin where we have local offices,

REPORTS TO:Head of Construction Northern Europe

Overall purpose of the job

-Responsible for safely delivering projects with Gate 2 approval to commercial operation on time and budget

-Responsible for a the Construction team constructing projects in Poland and their personal development

Responsibilities

-Manage and develop a team of project managers, package managers and site managers in the Construction team

-Deliver construction projects on time and to budget via a team of construction project and package managers

-Support and lead the coordination of all activities and interfaces from the end of development phase into construction phase to then ensure a smooth and quality transition into commissioning and operation

-Support technical & commercial Procurement in supplier negotiations, also including HSSE aspects

-Lead project planning & resource management

-Management of all respective packages including site and contractor management in line with EC&R PMO standards

-Construction safety management in compliance with all Group, Global and local rules and regulations

-Provide information necessary for project reporting and control

-Adopting and implementing best practice and standardization in respective projects
-Other KPI: meet construction specific KPIs for HSSE - LTIF & TRIR, project (gate) budget approved (EURm) and delivery schedule

Profile & Qualifications required

-University degree - Likely Masters in Engineering

-5-10+ years of leading projects in the energy industry and ideally in an international context

-Strong leadership skills to form and maintain a high performing team

-Thorough knowledge of national and local regulations relating to grid connection, construction and safety in the Polish market

-Track record of performance delivery from projects, negotiation and building internal and external business relationships

-Uncompromising on safety

-Strong drive in delivery, with anticipatory and proactive approach on schedules and budgets

-Thinks and acts as an entrepreneur

-Drives change and continuous improvement within the organization

-Individually initiates change

-Enhance people`s performance and develops a performance culture

-Fosters diversity and with an international approach to lead teams with different cultural backgrounds

-Builds trust toward suppliers, partners and other key stakeholders

-Management skills of external suppliers in complex project organization structure

-Good negotiation skills
Fluent in English and Polish with good command of German Language
