Description
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The D&D work is in support of Project X with a specific focus on reconstructing a 3-D model of the SSR1 Cryomodule within a Teamcenter environment using the NX 7.5 CAD software tool. Detail drawings of assemblies and piece-part components will be required within NX and created in accordance with the ASME Y14.5M drafting standard. The candidate will be required to search web sites for common hardware to be used within the system assemblies. This is an approximate one-year contract and will terminate when the allocated funds run out.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide drafting support
- Knowledge and experience in using NX CAD software
- Consolidate details from a variety of hand sketches, prints and CAD model assemblies and instructions
- Make calculations and converts consolidated instructions into a workable shop drawing
- Recreate detailed and accurate solid models based off of a conceptual 3-D model
- Create associative 2-D detailed drawings for fabrication
- Performs other duties as assigned by the reporting manager and senior staff
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must have at minimum a two (2) year degree in CAD technology
- Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in creating CAD drawings and solid models
- Applicants must have at least two (2) years experience using Teamcenter and NX
- Applicants must have good solid modelling skills and who is very functional in 2-D drafting in NX
