We are looking for a technical lead focused on mobile application development projects. Primary role is to lead the technical detailed design of E2E solution working in conjunction with Mobile App development team, service enablement of Back End systems. The lead will oversee the entire development life cycle design, build, test and deployment providing technical assurance.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Deliver technical designs covering end to end landscape
Acting as lead designer across a number of team (external iOS and/or Android developers), .internal and external team developing service enabled systems to integrate with Mobile apps.
Provide assurance the entire app development life cycle -design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores based on Agile Project methodologies.
Working directly with architects, developers and product managers to work on new innovation concepts Working along the mobile app developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps
Working with the Front End developers to build the interface with focus on usability features
Develop and maintain standardised platform and practice to allow for repeatable and predictable delivery of multiple applications
Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies
Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Person skills and qualities:
Proven commercial software development experience - desktop and mobile
Published examples of mobile applications on the App store or the Android market
A track record of delivering successful consumer and or business products
Ability to use analytic data and user testing to inform design decision
A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging media landscape
Ability to multi task and good time management skills
Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team
Excellent scoping and estimation skills
Excellent testing/QA skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with various departments locally and internationally
Essential skills:
Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML), service enablement and service governance
Experience of development using web technologies
Good understanding of Security (Cloud based, OAuth, SAML, OpenID, Authentication and Authorisation concepts) in context fo Mobile
Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns
Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery and PHP
Experience building web and native apps
Experience using social media APIs
Experience using NFC technology
Good experience of working on Agile projects as a SCRUM lead (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.)
iOS
Familiar with iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location, etc)
Android
Familiar with the Android SDK and Java (J2EE/J2ME)
Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
Desirable skills:
