Working Sunday - Thursday Nights 10pm-6am
£22-£24 per hour
Minimum 3 Month Contract

Are you an electrically biased maintenance engineer looking for a contract role with competitive rates of pay?

Working within the Engineering department you will be wholly responsible for the night shift, so experience of working unsupervised would be preferred. The department prides itself on a professional approach to engineering as well as a proactive approach; they are continually looking at improvements and as such the majority of your workload will be planned maintenance rather than breakdowns.

You will provide engineering services to the site ensuring the smooth running of all areas including building, environmental and warehouse distribution facilities. You will be diagnosing and repairing faults on an extensive range of equipment including conveyors, strapping and taping machines, scanners and PLC controlled equipment.

The successful maintenance engineer will be multi skilled with excellent electrical and mechanical fault finding skills combined with a track record in a production maintenance environment. PLC fault finding and monitoring skills are essential.

This is initially a 3 month contract covering the Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am however there is a potential opportunity that the role will go permanent.

The Engineer job;

* Ensure smooth running of the building and warehouse distribution facilities.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on conveyors, strapping and taping machines and PLC controlled equipment.
* Ensure high levels of repairs and modifications are met within time schedules, costs and safety regulations.

The Successful Engineer will have;

* City & Guilds electrical engineering qualification or equivalent (minimum)
* Multi skilled in Electrical and Mechanical
* A proven track record in a Production Maintenance Engineering environment
* Electromechanical fault finding abilities
* Problem solving skills
* Pro-active approach
* Computer literate
* PLC knowledge Siemens S7 & Omron CPM preferred)
* 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Valid Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP) Licence (preferred)
