Job description:
The Network Optimisation Engineer will be involved in TETRA radio network optimisation, benchmarking and testing. The engineer will work as a member of Network Optimisation Group. The main tasks of the group will be to perform radio network optimisation, radio coverage acceptance, drive tests and network operational maintenance. Significant part of the activities will be performed in the field of Norway territory (out of the office). The engineer will analyse and pos-process the network RF data, implement optimisation changes, verify the network performance and generate reports on network performance and optimisation process. Prepared reports will present to management and the customer.
The ideal candidate will have strong TETRA/GSM/UMTS/GPRS/EDGE system knowledge, hands-on radio network planning and optimisation experience. Ideally the candidate will have experience in performance improvement and network quality management processes, knowledge of planning, GIS and optimisation tools. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, proven attention to detail and analytical/reporting experience. Ideally the candidate will have been customer facing - with interaction at the customer across all levels from engineers to managers. The candidate should be very flexible in regards to work schedule and travels. The work may require including some evening, weekends, etc. The candidate must have a clear and clean driving record.
