The Wall Street Journal has an immediate opening for a UX/Information Architect who:
- Is passionate about solving problems and communicating solutions, with strong organizational skills
- Thinks about experiences that span media, from print to the web to tablets
In addition, we're looking for someone who
- Thrives on tight deadlines and multiple, parallel projects
- Enjoys working with multi-disciplinary teams
Job Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize projects from description to detailed specifications
- Work as part of the Product team to translate business goals and user needs into interactive solutions
- Produce creative concepts, prototypes and storyboards to communicate solutions to core team and major stakeholders
- Produce final documentation for use by the UX team, the Development team and the QA team, including sitemaps, annotated wireframes and detailed module specifications
- And last, but never least, serve as an advocate for the end user
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in design-related discipline: Interaction, Information or Interface design; Human-Computer Interaction; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Communications.
Specialities and skills we're interested in:
Note: we have a few postiions open, so we're looking for people who have some, not necessarily all, of the skills below
- Experience in personalization and customization
- Experience with large scale commerce systems
- Experience with Ruby and MySQL
