This position is for a one-man-show front-end development/coding whiz.
We ONLY do world class work so, naturally, you MUST be able to consistently produce world class front end work.
---- WHAT WE NEED
We need someone who can code advanced web app interfaces with html and css built like a platform.
We need someone who can code advanced wordpress themes with various custom post types, taxonomies, loops, etc.
We need someone who can code fluid, responsive, beautiful interfaces and information pages.
We need someone who can create complicated, interactive slideshows and navigation elements from scratch using at least jQuery.
We do NOT need a designer. It doesn't hurt if you LOVE design though.
We do NOT need a "psd->xhtml5" coder.
We do NOT need a task monkey. You must be a problem solver.
---- WHAT YOU'LL BE FACED WITH
You will be working on projects for interesting, creative, open minded startups as well as some of the world's largest brands.
You will be working on fun, interactive marketing sites / landing pages.You will be working on web application interfaces with complex front end challenges.You will be working on mobile web sites and applications.You will be pushed to solve problems related to responsive layouts, super optimization, overly creative and ambitious designers, etc.
---- SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS
You must be able to demonstrate proficiency and competency with the following technologies / concepts:
+ HTML (HTML5 capabilities)
+ CSS3
+ Javascript (basic knowledge of Javascript core concepts)
+ jQuery (strong ability)
+ Wordpress (Very advanced knowledge, plugin development, etc)
+ PHP (Basic understanding and ability to learn)
+ MySQL (Basic understanding and ability to learn)
+ Know your way around a command line
+ Progressive Enhancement / Graceful Degradation, Responsive layout, fluid layout, etc
+ Mobile web (jQuery mobile or similar)
+ Facebook / Twitter APIs
+ Good UX/UI sense and knowledge (It's something we care about the most)
You must be the kind of person who can take charge of a project and FINISH things efficiently and thoroughly.
---- COMPENSATION, HOURS, ETC.
We're looking for someone to work 20-30 hours per week.
You don't have to live in Austin but, if you do, you can work out of our studios.
Hourly rate will be sorted out based on your experience and commitment level.
