System Accountant
An interesting and challenging position has arisen with an excellent client for a System Accountant in London for a 3 month contract.
Role: System Accountant
Location: London
Contract Type: Contract
Contract Length: 3 months
Rate: £400-£450 Neg on exp
Core Responsibilities:
User administration (Europe wide) on Sun 5
Maintenance of Group and UK charts of account and analysis codes in Sun 5
Ledger database maintenance and development Sun 5
SUN 5 Helpdesk
Backup & Disaster recovery for all Finance systems
Monitoring data integrity in Sun 5
Development and documentation of system processes
Maintain account mapping tables between Group systems
Manage period open & close, including year-end close down and roll forward in Sun 5
Transfer monthly data from SUN to GMIS and resolve errors
Lead development of data transfer processes and data storage/protection
Support development and use of other Financial systems - Clarity FSR, Q&A10, PA Bank Rec, eRemit.
Projects:
Assist the project team to implement SUN 5 in other European countries.
Restructure the existing Group ledger into separate operational databases
Person:
Experienced administrator of multi-user, multi-currency accounting systems, preferably including SUN
Familiarity with UK general insurance accounting
Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
Proven track record of working within a deadline driven environment
Part qualified/qualified ACCA or CIMA preferred
VBA experience desirable
