Description
Key responsibilities:
- Design and development of high performing web application solutions and ensuring that projects are properly estimated, thoroughly planned, with sufficient risk mitigation from the outset
- Working in partnership with the Project Manager, ensure that the project baseline (scope, schedule, budget) is maintained
- Providing leadership and technical guidance to others
Key requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Strong experience in the design and development of Internet E-commerce applications
- Advanced architecture skills and the ability to accurately gather, analyse and interpret data, identify and define problems, and make recommendations for resolution
- Advanced ability to plan and proactively manage software development projects, report progress as required both externally and internally, and ensure delivery according to established objectives
- Experience overseeing a team of technical staff, including management and reporting of team progress on technical deliverables
- Experience with Internet and computer based solutions for financial institutions and/or retail banking is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft web application technologies (C#, ASP.NET, XML, XSLT, Web Services, C++, COM, UML, etc)
- Experience with non-Microsoft server and database management systems
- Ability to accurately estimate development, testing, and deployment efforts
