Description
Stress Engineers or Structural Engineers are required for long term contracts with a Pan-European engineering firm based in Toulouse, France. Working at the forefront of high technology aerospace engineering you will bring your stress engineering experience to a multinational team engaged on various aerospace and aviation packages. You will have a relevant education and a minimum of three years experience the aerospace engineering and stress, fatigue or damage tolerance environments.Responsibilities:
. Stress Engineering, Structural Engineering, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineering on various projects
. Primary Structure and/or Secondary Structure focus
. Focus on structural optimisation of various components, skin calculations, skin strength analysis and related areas
. Validate and justify by stress calculations the different technical solutions
. Creation of relevant status reports and documentation
. Work with existing Engineering teams
Skills should include:
. 3 to 6 years minimum experience as a Stress Engineer in the aerospace/aviation sector
. Proven knowledge of stress methods and structural analysis
. Good understanding of analytical analysis and able to document related structural and stress work
. Significant knowledge about design methodology and light-weight design and metal and composite materials including fibre-reinforced
. Experience with Nastran, Patran, Hypermesh, Hyperworks, Abaqus, Hand calculations
. Catia V5 design experience would be advantageous
. Experience of Airbus project (A320, A350 etc)
. Excellent English language skills, written and spoken
. French language skills would be helpful but not essential
