A Service Bulletin Coordinator is required for a 6-month contract role based in Filton paying up to £35/hr Limited Company Rate D.O.E.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/MAJOR END RESULTS
Ensure that information provided in the Service Bulletin meets Customer satisfaction in term of safety, quality, lead-time and cost.
Guarantee the SB scrutiny by performing the synthesis of all received comments from other department (Engineering, Product integrity, Customer support engineering etc.)
Contribute to improve overall SB quality in order to decrease the number of SB revision and airlines' queries
Contribute to improve the SB process and tools
Ensure timely acceptance and approval of Vendor SB (VSB)
Monitor the VSB from receipt to the dispatching to Airlines
Maintain good relationship with suppliers and ensure follow-up the VSB activity

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Analyze the different inputs (SB order, modification dossier, Inspection dossier)
Coordinate all available data and service documents (Technical Repercussion Sheets, VSB, Weight & Balance, electrical load data ) or request if not available and carry out the "SB preparation file".
Estimate the SB lead-time and carry out all relevant SB planning.
Launch SB for authoring
Scrutinize the SB.
Ensure the SB scrutiny synthesis by collecting, analysing all comments coming from specialists of Engineering departments.
Answer all incoming SB related queries (airlines, other internal departments )
Assist airlines or production people during Service Bulletin validation on in-service aircraft or production aircraft
Endorse the VSB's by delegation of French Airworthiness Authorities, as per DOA

DECISION AND LEADERSHIP AUTHORITY
The jobholder reports to: the head of UK SB production centre
The SB coordinator manages his activity with the SB authoring staff and reports progress to the Group Manager.
Approves or accepts the VSB as per DOA (Design Organisation Approval)

COMPETENCIES
Good communication and Negotiation skills
Ability to continuously improve by reviewing own way of working and participating to improvement initiatives locally and trans-nationally.
Ability to adapt to changes in processes, procedures, SB creation & workflow tools.

DIMENSIONS
Process approx. 60 new and revised Service Bulletins per year
Reply to approx. 50 Airline queries per year
Ensure approval of new and revised VSB: approximately 30 a year

MAJOR PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED IN THIS POSITION
Satisfy Customer expectations in term of safety, quality, lead time and cost
Provide adequate information related to Service Bulletin to Customers in a limited time frame
To use adequate Engineering tools to retrieve or to supply information
Coordinate the contribution of several involved organisation
Guaranty VSB accepted or approved on time

EXPERIENCE
Aircraft maintenance - First aspect is experience working on Aircraft, ie applying MOD's, repairs etc to the aircraft during Maintenance checks/overhauls. The job will require reviewing MOD paperwork and drawings to instruct the author on what is required plus reviewing what has been written by the author to make sure it makes sense if the SB is applied.
Project Management as this is a coordination of tasks and the ability of organising many based upon target dates and liaising with subcontractors/engineering etc.
