Storage Engineer
This client is a leading global professional services provider, and have a brand new requirement for a Storage Engineer to join their busy team. 

The role requires someone with expert knowledge in storage and data protection technologies and services. 

  • Work with Client Account Teams to develop Technical Solutions and Migration Plans for Data Storage
  • Designs storage and data protection solutions
  • Own the implementation of new technology storage solutions
  • Support new solutions and develop delivery team knowledge and skills for ongoing support of new technologies
  • Assist in development of delivery support strategy for all storage services
  • Provides mentoring and guidance for other storage support personnel
  • Attends technical meetings and/or workshops with HP clients
  • Maintains working relationships with vendors of storage and data protection products
Skills required
  • 8+ years of experience in IT with a minimum of 5 years with storage technologies
  • Experience developing storage solutions for both enterprise and departmental storage environments
  • Experience with HP3PAR, HP MPX200, HP IRSA/SIM, Storage Essentials
  • Experience with multiple vendors storage products such as IBM n-Series, IBM Tape Library and VTL, Brocade Switches
  • Experience with multiple data protection products such as HP Data Protector and NetBackup 
  • TSM is desirable
  • Experience in data migrations using IBM AIX, Windows and HP UX
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and lead a technical support team
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies
    Demonstrated ability in solving complex technical problems
