Description
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Manage multiple operational projects, changes and initiatives simultaneously.
* Scheduling operational projects and required resources, in agreement with affected parties.
* Delivery of operational projects to budget, schedule and cost
* Agreeing project definitions and priorities with the affected stakeholders
* Monitor and control IT Operations systems to prevent de-support issues.
* Contribute to the identification of projects/initiatives to minimising the cost of the infrastructure, systems software, technology and related services.
* Contribute to the identification of required operations related projects and initiatives to meet
the long-term operational strategy and roadmap.
* Assist in the preparation of the Operations related budget.
* Maintain the overall IT project schedule in agreement with affected parties within IT.
* Ensuring a close working relationship is maintained with business users and suppliers
* Adherence to relevant department methodologies and procedures.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory, audit and licensing requirements.
* Assisting with the production of regular management reports and other required management and project information.
Qualifications, knowledge and experience:
* A relevant 3rd level qualification and a minimum of 5 years IT experience, 2 of them in a project management role is essential for this role.
* Project management qualifications and experience of using Prince II are an advantage.
* Solid experience of structured methodologies and a structured and disciplined approach to work combined with excellent communication, documentation and time management skills are required for this role.
* Experience in delivery of multiple IT related projects, enhancements and change requests, in
accordance with agreed schedules and costs, to meet agreed business requirements.
* Proven capability to work closely with business users in a team oriented environment.
* Previous experience of IT project management in a financial services environment would be an advantage
* Ability and willingness to operate effectively in a challenging IT/business environment.
