Description
Mechanical Support required for long term contract role in West Freugh to support all mechanical requirements ranging from vehicles, generators, pressure washers, compressors etc. The successful candidate will be accountable to the Range Capability Supervisor and will hold accredited qualification in a Mechanical discipline and possess sound engineering knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing the West Freugh TP1 (off shore) Planned maintenance programme covering all aspects of work on board associated with the design authority HVM Target Platform Bi Annual surveys.
- Be responsible for all the mechanical 1st line servicing for items such as, Ingersol Rand trailer mounted compressor, motor driven pressure washer and associated lift pumps, hoists and winches
- Be responsible for implementing statutory maintenance of all on board and associated equipment ie PAT, Fire fighting equipment, first aid etc. Maintain accurate records.
- Ensure timely procurement of spares and equipment to allow maintenance/repairs to be carried out as detailed in planned schedules, ensuring value for money
- Be in possession of a current driving licence and drive vehicles and plant for which you are authorised
- Become familiar with processes and systems including COSHH, Risk, and PUWER etc. and remain current by reading Nucleus on a weekly basis. Be familiar with West Freugh Health Safety and Environmental Plan, Site Emergency Plan and Range Standing Orders
- Support trials activities carrying out duties such as Beach Guard or any other duty for which you hold current competencies
- Delivery of any other cross-facility or range-management related tasks, including occasional off-range training/deployments, that are fair and reasonable and for which you are trained and competent to undertake
