Description
Stable company located in Norcross has an immediate need for a Unix Administrator on a contract basis. They need a person who can hit the ground running on an important 4+ month project. The company has a couple of mission critical applications that need to get moved out of their current datacenter. No enhancements or changes to the applications are required (apps are stable). They just need a smart person who can come in, understand how it works, get comfortable quickly with the moving pieces in the database, and move them.
Their Operating System lives on a SAN and they need to migrate to another box or another SAN in another database and boot from that. Running on Sparc.
Key skills:
- 5+ years' Unix and strong understanding of the hardware side of an OS.
- Solaris 9 operating system and SUN V890 server are strong preferences.
- Familiar with OO Database
- Ability to listen, ask questions, dig in, and problem solve quickly.
