We are looking to recruit a very exciting opportunity for a registered charity, who pride and focus themselves on improving lives and communities, providing the best services across mental health, learning disability, substance misuse and employment.

Our client is now looking for a Sales / Relationship Manager to take responsibility for driving sales of existing and new business to existing and new customers/geographies through great sales and relationship building skills. Delivering positive outcomes that grow our clients services and grow and exceed set targets, whilst marrying commissioner and service user need with the organisation's strategic priorities.

Implement and be responsible for occupancy targets across services and to build our clients presence and referral related relationships in existing and new geographies.
By;-
•Proactively keeping regular dialogue with Operational Managers to understand their service strategies, priorities and growth and occupancy targets and to agree with them appropriate plans for sales initiatives.
•Communicating regularly with internal senior managers , Connected Care, Product and Tender Management to stay abreast of the companies current and emerging products, services and solutions.
•Tapping into internal company knowledge and intelligence, and initiating research, to stay abreast of shifts in market needs, Commissioner Expectations and political developments in targeted territories in your patch.
•Nurturing collaborative and close relationships with the Sales Teams, Area Development Managers and operational colleagues who may overlap with some areas of your geography to ensure your sales campaigns are founded, where relevant, on shared knowledge, contacts and a collaborative approach.
•Work co-operatively and transparently with Sector Development Teams (promoting existing products to existing customers/geographies) , (taking new products to new types of customers) for mutual support on the spectrum of sales activity and ensuring parallel aims are achieved.
•Establishing the strategies and systems to identify and nurture great relationships with the right people and groups in the region to build the companies presence in the right places, including supporters, subject matter experts, potential partners, sources of financial support etc as well as specific sales leads.
•Basing business development initiatives on a strong knowledge network internally. Keeping live contact with the people and services in your geographical area, but also bringing a detailed understanding of products and good relationships with the key internal players across the country so that you can call on their support as 'experts' to bring a product to life for a potential lead.

The suitable candidate must have the following experience:

Highly motivated bed sales / business development professional, able to evidence success in exceeding occupancy targets.
Demonstrable success in establishing entirely new relationships and translating those new contacts into business opportunities
A `self-starter' personality, tenacious and resilient and driven by the challenge of creating new opportunities and sourcing new products
Strong influencing skills, both to build new external relationships as well as play a key role in successfully embedding this new function within the company
Persuasive and credible, able to leverage different sales approaches to build interest and commitment to new business

Essential Skills:

Confident at translating business unit objectives into meaningful and ambitious sales and business development strategies and campaigns
Experienced at working collaboratively with other business development functions; in particular the strategic marketing function and the growth management teams leading our tender activity
Experience of successfully applying a range of alternative sales and business development techniques, for example social media campaigns
An expert in the market who can create a compelling vision of our clients product, and then source opportunities for growth
Able to amass market intelligence and feedback to confidently drive debate and conversation about our product portfolio and our approach in each of our different target markets
Experienced at the analysis of sales forecasts, budgeting and planning and able to present compelling, confident proposals to senior managers in the business units At least 3 years' experience of achieving sales / business development growth targets in a similar environment
Travel associated with developing business in a region and maintaining good contact with colleagues
Access to a car and full clean driving licence
