Link Technologies is currently looking for a Cyber Security Program Manager for an exciting opportunity in the Bay Area with travel expenses paid. You will be joining a small team of security professionals interacting with our client's Cyber and IT operational groups under the management and oversight of our Executive VP to design and develop Cyber Security policies, procedures, instruction (training), work plans, and templates; and web site and document management development under the. This is an approximately 6 month assignment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent organization, project management, budgeting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Minimum eight to ten years' experience in a combination of risk management, information security and IT positions - at least four must be in a senior leadership role. Employment history must demonstrate increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate highly technical, complex security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences in a clear and effective manner.
  • Proven track record and experience developing information security policies and procedures and successfully executing programs that meet objectives of excellence in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with implement and execute IT protection procedures.
  • Strong ability to develop frameworks and procedures for accomplishing security program.
  • Experience assessing overall technology solutions and business processes for security implementation and needs
  • Experienced with security evaluations and day-to-day security risk assessment of IT infrastructure including all systems, networks and connectivity, and assists with application of security risk mitigating controls.
  • Overall knowledge of the 10 domains of information security
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk analysis processes in accordance with NIST SP 800-30
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as NIST 800-53, DOE, and OMB directives.
  • Current professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Global Information Assurance Security Essential Certified (GSEC), Project Management Professional (PMP) or other similar credentials, is desired.
  • Knowledge of network related protocols and security event log management and reporting tools.
  • Experience in Department of Energy or other federal agencies highly desired

Minimum Education and/or Years of Experience

Master's Degree in Cyber Security or other information technology field. or equivalent work- or education-related experience.
