Electronic Commerce role is a 13 month contract. This role is a key component of the TD Canada business strategy to drive increased revenue and profit while maintaining or reducing SG&A. The EC (EDI, XML and Web) support representative's mandate is to support this strategy by managing and enhancing customer and vendor EC connectivity and engagement. The EC Support Specialist is responsible for analysing Vendor and Reseller requirements for the purposes of integration with Tech Data's EC solutions, supporting Reseller and Vendor requests for new and enhanced implementations and resolving issues related to EC tools.

The incumbent is also expected to facilitate the maintenance and optimization of already established customer and vendor connectivity with Tech Data.

Efforts include written and verbal communication with internal and external customers/vendors as well as the coordination of efforts with EC experts in our Clearwater head office and third-party suppliers. Other responsibilities include working with the EC sales team in Canada to achieve EC quota targets and participating in EC tool development to ensure Tech Data Canada's requirements are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and facilitate EC issue resolutions and new implementations with Resellers and Vendors, coordinating efforts with headquarters in Clearwater and third party suppliers.
  • Assist with TD Corp IT projects and/or system enhancements ensuring Canadian specific needs are addressed and key stakeholders are aware of and approve major changes
  • Support EC tool product development in conjunction with our headquarters and third-party suppliers.
  • Provide regular written project updates as prescribed by manager, indicating accomplishments, objectives, and any potential obstacles. Update Business Operations network documentation folder and Intranet documentation.

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

Must have

  • Educational level: College Diploma (EC)
  • Specialties/Major Subjects: HTML/ASP, XML, EDI
  • Type of work experience: Project Management, Customer Service, EC Product Development
  • Years of experience in the industry: 3-5 year EC project management experience
  • Other related experiences:  Computer Literate; Web Literate  
  • Additional skills: Presentation; Business Writing
  • Special Training Required: Tech Data Desktop tools; E-business Trends.

Preferred

  • Educational level: University Degree (Major in EC)
  • Specialties/Major Subjects: E-business/EC Technologies/B2B/E-procurement, ERP, Javascript
  • Type of work experience: B2B Implementation Management; E-procurement; B2C Product Management; HTML   
    Development
  • Years of experience in the industry: 4-6 in B2B/E-procurement project and development management.
