Description
This large finance house is looking for a Security Engineer to act as the conduit between the business, 3 rd party testing companies & the internal security operations & design function.
The responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Govern third parties to ensure delivery of security services in accordance to contract and in compliance with policy etc, both at operational and strategic levels.
- Working with outsource partners and other vendors to plan, deliver and manage security solutions for the business, including end-to-end process design.
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the technical implementation of IT security throughout the business.
- Respond to IT security incidents (typically through the relevant service provider)
- Assess the security impact of changes to systems and take appropriate action to prevent the introduction of additional unnecessary security risk.
- evelop and maintain processes to ensure that access to systems is effectively controlled and maintained.
Essentially we are looking for a Consultant to come ASAP for an initial 6 month contract to work with the business to define requirements, articulate those requirements to 3 rd party penetration testing consultancies and then take their results and report them in such a way that the security design & implementation team is able to build appropriate security solutions/infrastructure.
