Our client is embarking on an SAP implementation to support the continued growth within the business. The client requires a qualified accountant to support this implementation through the design of the SAP solution up to go live at multiple locations around the globe.

It is anticipated that the project role would last for 18 months and provide the successful candidate with an overview of the Finance function with the client with a view to finding a role within the business at the cessation of the SAP implementation.

The SAP JV lead will be required to provide an input to the design (from a JV accounting perspective) of the SAP solution for Finance/Supply Chain to ensure that it meets the needs of end users and the client's Corporate Standards. The role is also to contribute to cross-process activities, such as training, data mapping and cleansing, data validation throughout the migration exercise and the through testing of the SAP solution.

The role of the SAP JV lead will be to:
-Validate work products delivered by third party to ensure compliance with defined functional Finance/Supply Chain, integration and quality requirements.
-Ensure all third party deliverables support the complex nature of upstream oil and gas operations.
-Ensure all likely JV scenarios (unitisations, carrys, etc) are catered for in the SAP solution.
-Assist in defining the functional and integration scope for the client's Finance/Supply Chain.
-Support requirements definition, process and system fit-gap analysis.
-Contribute to business process design and functional design for the JV SAP solution.
-Contribute to the functional aspects of the interfaces between SAP solution and other systems.
-Responsible for validating Business Process Designs.
-Develop and facilitate working sessions and functional workshops as required.
-Support the SAP Finance lead in presenting solutions to the Design Authority.
-Assist end-users in executing User Acceptance Test Scenarios and escalate all identified issues to the project team.
-Participate in the SAP project governance process, prepare position papers with recommendations for decision making process.
-Assist in communication to gain support and stakeholders' buy-in.
-Build training materials and support the delivery of training.
-Support other SAP team members in completing project specific deliverables.

Person Specification:
-Graduate and professionally qualified, preferably with experience in the oil and gas sector.
-First class interpersonal skills that are able to demonstrate; drive, tenacity, credibility at all levels of the business.
-Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across a culturally diverse global organization. 
- Self motivated and uses initiative and judgement to attain the best results.
-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
-Ability to handle a number of tasks/projects simultaneously.
-Solid ethical conduct and integrity that demonstrates continuous commercial best practice to the highest standards.
-Ability to analyse and resolve poorly defined problems.
-Upstream oil and gas accounting experience.
-Experience in an operated JV accounting role (minimum 3 years experience)
-Ability and confidence to present to large Groups (including senior stakeholders).
-Experience working with SAP is preferred but not essential.
