We are looking for a full-time freelance to permanent placement Web/Front-End Developer. This position is on-site in Hamilton, New Jersey.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coding complex designs that reflect the creative and art direction provided within the established technical framework
- Shifting between a creative and a technical focus depending on the project need and/or the type of project
- Establishing front-end technology requirements
- Rapidly producing interim deliverables (such as style guide components, technical specifications, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc.) in addition to the final live site or application
- Participating in writing detailed level technical and functional specifications documentation
- Taking initiative to research and learn emerging technologies
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Five + years of professional experience
- Expertise in (X)HTML(5), CSS, Javascript/jQuery, Flash and Actionscript
- Knowledge of current web standards and best practices for semantic markup
- Experience with HTML5 video
- Advanced site optimization techniques
- Experience with version control systems such as SVN and Git
- Familiarity with backend programming languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, ASP & C# .Net and Java
- Experience with the templating layer of major webapp/CMS frameworks such as Django or Drupal
- Understanding of good design principles and ability to adhere to complex design specifications during implementation
- Mobile and application development a plus
- Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate and scope development work
- Strong attention to detailStrong written & oral communication skills
