Project Manager
Job purpose
A Project Manager is needed to ensure the successful delivery of established Mainframe Solutions - coordinating all artefacts, knowledge transfer subject matter experts (SME) and architects in the successful execution of major Mainframe upgrades and implementations.
You will be responsible for detailed project planning throughout solution delivery engagement duration so that valid adjustments are made as required.
Managing RFI and RFP technical answers
Coordinating Pilots and Proofs of Concept
Analyzing, documenting and reporting customer requirements
Communicating with Product Management to define timeframes and budgeting.
Project Management guidance for Solution Engineers, Business Consultants and Solution Delviery Consultants
Managing the overall project scope from Pre-sales to Professional Services and Customer Care
Key Skills Required: Minimum of 6 years Project Management experience
Project Management experience in technology solution implementation projects
Minimum of 2 years experience in a software company or equivalent
Previous experience in an IBM Mainframe migrations
Technical knowledge of IBM Mainframe Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL subsystem technologies
Good background knowledge of IBM Mainframe security, Middleware, job schedulers and other third-party products.
Knowledge of CICS/MVS Systems in IBM Mainframe environment.
Knowledge of Legacy technologies and distributed technologies
Developer background in large IT organization is desired
Good understanding of development methods
Ability to multi-task in support of Sales in Pre-Sales mode
Ability to handle customer meetings independently
Knowledge of MS Office toolset - Visio included
Expertise in Datamodelling using multiple notations and tools
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
