Internal Financial Controls Tester
We are currently looking to recruit a number of Financial control testers who will be creating a new project team in order to deal with a high volume of work. You will be required to conduct the testing of Operational Effective Testing of IFC (Internal Financial Controls) controls across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and undertake operational effectiveness testing on behalf of the IFC test team of manual controls and ELCs in accordance with Group Methodology.
- Plan and undertake, as required, operational effectiveness testing on behalf of the IFC test team of AKCs, EUCs, ITELCs and ITGCs in accordance with Group Methodology.
- Ensure fieldwork is fully documented and testing results are reported in a timely manner.
- Maintain testing evidence files in a suitable format to support the testing conclusion.
- QA operational effectiveness testing completed by peers, in accordance with Group Methodology.
- Identify, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Interact with other team members to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and issues.
- Manage the delivery of other project activities as requested by the IFC Test Team Manager. These may include (but are not limited to) scoping, reporting, and management of projects.
Essential/Beneficial skills
- Accounting qualification (beneficial and not an absolute)
- Good understanding of finance and operational systems and processes
- Good IT skills
- Good understanding of audit methodologies
- Good understanding of the insurance industry
- Good stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Ability to manage own workload with multiple tasks simultaneously - a large proportion of the work will be working under you own initiative and so this will be crucial when selecting the right candidates.
- SAP will be essential for that role.
