Front Office Developer (Excel/VBA) - 6 Month Contract - £480 per day - London
My client a leading FTSE 100 energy company with offices in London is looking to recruit a Front Office Developer on an initial 6 month contract. This is a Front Office Excel VBA Developer position. The successful candidate will be working directly with Traders in a RAD environment. This position is paying circa £480 per day.
Essential Skills
Expert in developing Excel and VBA applications, formulas & macros.
Good experience of developing and working with Excel addins eg COM, VSTO, Excel-DNA.
Must have Front Office exposure.
Experience with Object Oriented programming (for example Java, C++ or C#).
Good experience of development in database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase.
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Demonstrates structured thinking and able to breakdown a problem.
Good communicator - clear and concise verbal and written communication.
Strong under pressure
Desirable Skills
Experience with web technologies (HTTP, Web services, Javascript, HTML, XML).
Knowledge of Market data systems including Reuters, Bloomberg, Futuresource, PAWS.
Knowledge of the Gas, Power and/or LNG market.
Quantitative skills.
Knowledge of AGILE development methodology (SCRUM).
