A leading organisation is looking for a Financial Control Assistant for a 4 month contract based in Manchester. As the Financial Control Assistant you will need to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified, preferably with a good understanding of IAS/IFRS (accounting standards) and preferably some financial controls experience/audit background.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial advice to the Unit/Cluster finance area.
- Provide a detailed understanding of a specific complex financial subject
- Provide guidance on all aspects of the Financial Control framework, standards and policies
- Review of GL Controls process and support of Controls framework and agreeing corrective actions including Financial Control Reviews at Offshore locations
- Support for the Legal Entity set-up and compliance in all off-shore locations including liaison with local authorities, auditors and senior internal stakeholders and management of all risks, as directed
- Completion of all DEA and OET testing for SOX compliance
- Review of nominal ledger transactions, checking compliance to Chart of Accounts IAS guidelines.
