Mechanical Design Engineer - Immediate Start - 3 months - £20-24 an hour - Sheffield
My client based in Yorkshire requires the services of a mechanical design engineer for an initial 3 month contract to support a number of ongoing projects.
The Role:
- Produce accurate designs in line with budget, project specification and standards
- Conduct design risk assessments/calculations (mechanical and structural)
- Plan/estimate design activities
- Liaise with project management
- Organise design review meetings
- Interface with clients
- Produce manufacturing drawings/tolerancing drawings
Key Skills:
- Experience producing heavy bespoke machinery (materials handling background/crane/heavy duty experience all considered)
- CAD and 3D modelling software (Solid Works, pro-Engineer, Wildfire 3 and Autocad
- Ability to produce scoping calculations for sizing simple structures/mechanical components
- Minimum HND in relevant engineering discipline
