Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Application Specialist to join one of Australia's leading financial organisations on a contract basis.
This role will involve the design and development of reporting to meet new regulatory requirements within the financial industry and will require a suitably qualified individual .
Key Responsibilities:
- Produces production technical documentation which satisfies Business Requirements and fit within company strategy & architectural standards.
- Analyse solution requirements using Functional Requirements, Non-Functional Requirements, and Information Security Assessments.
- Collaborate and consult with clients and peers to determine an appropriate design.
- Engage and collaborate with the relevant architecture SME's.
- Provide technical training to other staff members.
- Project ongoing consultancy after the design moves into delivery phases and production
- Infrastructure Capacity planning and management
- Ongoing assistance to project teams
- Mentor the Delivery team by supporting, encouraging and advising on design improvements, SDLC process and productivity improvements
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant work experience
- Proven track record in the development/design in the Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIFS) suite of applications version 11g.
- Solid knowledge of Oracle Databases
- Solid knowledge of SQL and PLSQL
- Strong understanding and experience in the following technology areas:
- Operating System (Unix)
- Web Based delivery of business intelligence
- Oracle Applications Stack (in particular OFSA/OFSAA)
- Development Language/ETL (PLSQL)
- Financial Data Warehousing & Large Data Sets
- Experience in system capacity, sustained performance and security
- Communication and inter-personal skills must be excellent.
