Description
Mainframe Developer - Our client, a leading financial services company is looking for a Mainframe Developer to join their Business Intelligence Operational development team, who are responsible for development of queries reporting to Business. As Mainframe Developer you will be responsible for the independent analysis of existing Mainframe programs relating to functional areas such as security, settlement, custody or banking. Also Mainframe Developer will handle impact analysis and produce program specifications, program ad handle unit testing whilst staying focused on the quality of products, while respecting the agreed planning and budget.
Mainframe Developer skills required:
- Experienced with PL/1, DB2, SQL, VSAM, CICS, JCL, ISPF, MVS, MQ Series
- Experienced building test strategies and test cases for unit testing
- Structured programming experience
- You will also have strong technical/impact analysis skills, be able to show an open and flexible mind to adopt the client's guidelines for design, coding and testing, and possess good communication skills
- Fluent English
- Advantageous: Telon, SAS base, MQ, Pathway
- Experience with Financial Systems (securities settlement especially)
