Description
Repair Support Engineer
Primary task is the technical support to the EASA Part 145 Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operations team including:
- Creation and correction of approved maintenance data
- Working with the Post Design and Component Engineers to resolve technical issues from the MRO team
- Resolution of Test Equipment problems within the MRO area
- Responsible for working as part of the Repair Support Engineering/Test Equipment team to deliver the technical support required by the MRO operations team
Skills and experience will include:
- Knowledge and implementation of the regulatory requirements for EASA Part 145
- Knowledge of Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs); Service Bulletins (SBs) and their use in the MRO environment
- Generation of approved maintenance data for use by the repair technicians
- Knowledge of General and Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) and ability to fault find STTE - this will be in conjunction with the Ontic Test Equipment Engineer and any TE outsource partners
- Specification and/or design of cables, tooling and fixtures required by the MRO team
- Assembly and test of simple jigs; fixtures; Test Equipment
- Management of outsourced packages of work related to the MRO activities
- Fault finding of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and units (this will be for support of the repair technicians on "difficult" repairs)
