Develops with minimum guidance, security test cases, test execution scenarios, and conducting testing activities for subsets of complex systems and subsystems. Should have a working knowledge thorough grasp of the principles, theories, and concepts of the software development process. Extensive subject matter expertise for the type of system under development is desirable. Follows established project standards and processes including CMM. Duties include employing system analysis techniques to translate system requirements specifications into test cases/scenarios that ensure all the assigned subset requirements are part of the system to be delivered and that these requirements operate correctly. Performs this activity with minimal supervision. During test execution, works with Government subject matter experts to ensure full test coverage of the assigned test subset. Responsible for generating problem and change reports, communicating orally and in writing and ensuring the corrective action for these problem and change reports operates correctly. Duties may also include assisting in the development of automated test scripts which may employ using Visual Basic and/or C programming. Reviews and performs limited assessment of system security technical documents from the ERA PSI Contractor. Demonstrated technical familiarity with Windows 200Q, Windows 2003 Server, Firewalls, TCP/IP, Security (SSH, SSL, IPSec), ISS RealSecure and Snort IDS, Event Management Tools (NetiQ, E-security), UNIX (Linux, Solaris), VPN technologies, and Cisco lOS. Applied knowledge of NIST, FISMA, Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCIDs), Director of National Intelligence (DND established Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and security standards and guidelines. Experience developing and documenting policies and procedures. Experience with policy development to support certification and accreditation (C&A) programs for Federal Government customers. Experience with site security plans desirable. Strong technical, writing and presentation skills are reguired. Eight (8) years of experience in system security, including evaluating approved security product capabilities, is required. Six (6) years of experience with National Security Systems is highly desired. The ability to interact with co-workers and clients face to face and in meeting settings is required.

Education Requirements:

Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Formal training and certification in computer security field plus ten (10) years progressively responsible experience with increasingly more complex or difficult assignments may be substituted for educational requirement.

Clearance Requirements: Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check. An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
