Business Information Systems (BIS) is an exciting and dynamic organization that provides systems support, enhancements, and consultation for the selection and implementation of TLR and Company business systems. It develops Global Company business systems that support business operations such as ordering, subscriptions, pricing, billing, finance, publishing, manufacturing, and distribution. BIS is also responsible for system administration and development of Data Warehousing and internal web applications.
In this position you will join a team that is developing Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions to support critical business areas within Company companies. Responsibilities include interaction with technical developers and key business users to design and develop Oracle Business Intelligence metadata, dashboards, and reports along with installing and supporting the server Infrastructure to support Company business intelligence initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organization, analysis, and problem solving skills. They must also possess effective written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. They must be self-motivated, deliver on commitments within the established timelines, have the courage to raise issues, and proactively work to resolve issues and remove barriers in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, Develop and Support Business Intelligence initiatives across Company companies, including but not limited to:
-Designing OBIEE subject area metadata to support business reporting and analysis
-Designing and Supporting OBIEE Server Architecture and Infrastructure
-Balancing multiple and competing priorities
-Provide daily support as part of a rotating group with evening and weekend on-call responsibilities
-Collaborating with other team members, team leads, managers and business representatives to determine requirements, schedules and project timeframes
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related field
-3+ years experience in OBIEE 10g administration and dashboard/report creation
-Advanced SQL knowledge
-Effective problem solving, data analysis and issue resolution skills
-Must be able to work independently and as part of a team on multiple, competing priorities
-History of meeting deadlines in uncertain environments, and delivering high quality results
-Proven ability to appropriately identify, take ownership, and focus on highest priority tasks
-Ability to manage time effectively according to priorities and timelines
-Must be self-motivated, possess the ability to take on projects and tasks with little direction, and apply good judgment and decision-making skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as strong interpersonal skills. As a result, the qualified candidate must be able to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences including other software engineers, developers, as well as business end-users
-Must possess a mindset to objectively view and effectively explain an issue or resolution from an end-user/customer/business perspective
-Strong documentation skills a must
