Consultant Corporate Finance area reuired for major national telco restructuring project in Angola.

Main Activities:

  • Planning and execution of restructuring plan in the Corporate Finance area
  • Project management for the Sub-project Finance, reporting to the overall project management
  • Coordination of tasks, priorities and milestones for the sub-project Finance with the Interim Manager Finance (CFO)
  • Shaping the parameters for the implementation of a KPI system for the finance area
  • Introduction and adaptation of processes within the finance
  • Development of documents for decision making process for the planned finance measures
  • Project based assignment to lead a team of 3-4 finance experts and to work within a team of overall 20 consultants
  • Daily steering and coaching, on the job training of staff
  • Focus Area Accounting and Fixed Assets Management
  • Lead of the finance restructuring team, generally in all financial areas
  • Deep knowledge required in areas:
    o Plan, develop, and manage the accounting and fixed assets management team
    o Financial KPI reporting, experience user of various financial IS
    o Cash management of the company and financial planning,
    o Procurement
    o Fixed asset management
  • Responsible for reporting balance sheets, P/L statements and tax information
  • Dealing with external financial auditors
  • Definition of requirements & implementation of suitable tools for financial reporting and controlling and ERP systems

Job prerequisites:

  • Master Degree in Finance/Business Administration
  • Minimum 5 years experience in focus areas
  • Experience in developing countries; reliable project references for similar job experience, preferably in Angola/Africa
  • Resilient and stress-resistant
  • Willingness to stay in Angola for > 1 year
  • Goal oriented mindset, can-do attitude combined with mentoring and training skills
  • Financial and Management accounting proven track record
  • Procurement management proven track record
  • ERP implementation and use
  • Manage database analysis and reporting tools, such as SQL or Oracle tools

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong background of finance processes in the telecommunication industry (with respect to wholesale, enterprise and consumer business)
  • Excellent expertise concerning the telecommunications value chain
  • Understanding of technology, products, services and market trends in the telecommunication market worldwide and in Africa
  • Good knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management
  • Conceptual and business analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Very strong sense of customer centricity and orientation

Mandatory:

  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication in Portuguese and English
