Activities
- Understanding of Business Intelligence specifics of testing having more than 2 years in managing of testing
- Review and update of existing EDW, ODS, MDM projects' test strategy (2 years old), apply general testing rules defined on IT development department level. Should cover at least functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, operational readiness testing.
- Planning of resources/test activities
- Specify requirements for setup of internally used test progress/defect tracking tool
- Organize and manage test status meetings, report test progress and status
- Plan and define requirements on environment setup for particular release
- Accept the delivery package in particular phase
- Train and couch testers
- Deliverables
- EDW, ODS, MDM testing strategy covering all relevant test types
- Test communication plan
- Test reporting structure
- Regular reports, status meetings minutes
- Formal requirements on environment setup (availability date, set of initial loads, )
- Formal requirements on testing automated framework
