Job Description:
- Develop mechanical design of Connection Structures, ROV Intervention Tools and related equipment. Recommend solutions and improvements to meet technical and program/project requirements.
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (ISO, API)
- Develop action plans to respond to problems.
- Monitor and communicate program status and significant developments.
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical reviews.
- Have a connection lead function in programs/projects. Be the technical contact point for vendors and participate in customer interactions with the project and sales teams.
- Responsible for preparing equipment documents including fabrication drawings, design reports and user documentation.
- Assisting fabrication follow-up and testing
- MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 4 - 5 years experience, preferably within the subsea industry, to areas of expertise and thorough knowledge in:
o Solid modelling with ProEngineer or other similar 3D product design CAD systems
o Engineering drafting techniques, geometrical dimensioning and tolerances
o Experience in mechanical hardware design and development - Preferably have a good understanding of production processes
- Highly proactive and results oriented
- High level of curiosity and creativity combined with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
