Rate: £27 per hour
Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit an SC Cleared Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong experience providing technical solutions in the design of advanced aircraft displays, helmets and flight control systems for a 6 month contract role based in Kent.
Working with our leading defence client you have the opportunity to design flight safety critical products for the worlds most advanced commercial and military fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Exposure to the customer and end user, as well as working alongside like-minded engineers, makes this a unique opportunity for the right candidate.
The Job will involve:-
* Conceptual Design of Opto-Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical products/systems.
* Detailed Design (mechanisms, opto-mechanical assemblies, electronics packaging and test fixtures).
* Design investigations, tolerance assessment, calculations and problem solving.
* Liaison with manufacturing engineers and suppliers for Design for Manufacture/Design for Assembly/Cost analysis.
* Preparation of engineering drawings, including geometric tolerances, and associated data for prototype and production release.
Plus
* B.Eng in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
* Product design & development experience in a relevant industry.
* Experienced user of ProENGINEER WF5.0 for 3D design and 2D drawings.
